Hi...am loving your photos and blog...where did you stay in Lecce...was it ok?? we are travelling from Adelaide ,Australia and will visit Pulglia for the first time and plan to stay in Lecce and Ostuni and then through Calabria to revisit Sicly...I cannot wait to try the 2 different types of pasta with the chick pea sauce!

Mandy, I'm so jealous! You're going to have a great time in Puglia, Calabria, and Sicily.

In Lecce, we stayed at a hotel right by the train station called Hotel Cappello. It was fine, but it's not in the historic center - maybe a 15 minute walk? We noticed when we were there that a lot of new bed and breakfasts have opened up in the center - maybe a search would tun up some of those?
